Welcome back, folks! We’ve got so much in store, it’s time for all things DMV!

Let’s start off in politics. Six Republican Senators want to repeal D.C.’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for school kids.

Meanwhile, 22 Republican Governors, have signed a letter sent to President Joe Biden calling on him to withdraw his student loan forgiveness plan. Lastly, The White House is working on contingency plans in case of a railroad strike.

In general news, rent in Montgomery County has risen 11% since 2019, according to Apartment List. Now, many of the residents are calling for the wealthy jurisdiction to enact rent control.

In Virginia, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors has voted to rename Lee Highway and Lee-Jackson Memorial Highway to Route 29 and Route 50, respectively.

Moving on to sports. A new commemorative SmarTrip card will honor the Washington Spirit, who were the 2021 NWSL Champions.

Meet the first Commander, now on BridgeTV. Also, check the epic new uniforms in collaboration with The Museum DC. They have become the premier go-to clothing brand for the city.
