Rico Nasty and Saweetie? Let’s Talk About It!

You already know why you’re here. It’s time for yet another week of DMV greatness!

Let’s start with the news. An exotic palm size spider is coming to the DMV area possibly this summer. It’s called ‘Invasive Joro’. Watch out! A new Omicron subvariant, BA.2, is coming our way and health officials call it a variant of concern. It’s called Stealth Omicron because its genetic mutations could be different to tell if its Delta or Stealth, when taking the PCR test. Also, the American Civil Liberties Union is demanding real marijuana legalization in Maryland. Find out how to join the movement below.

Let’s move to entertainment. Recording artist, Yung Manny, posted a message on Instagram regarding the sport of football. DMV’s own Tressa Azarel partners with BET Her, again, to produce short films with Meagan Good, Naturi Naughton, Tichina Arnold and Lisa Raye. Also, DMV’s own Myles Frost has been considered eligible for a Tony Award for ‘Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role’ for his performance as Michael Jackson. Lastly, Saweetie has her eyes on Rico Nasty for her next collaboration. She posted, on her Instagram, a closed session for Rico Nasty. Get excited!

Now, let’s move on to what’s happening in our city! Did you know DMV’s own DJ Quicksilva has his own DJ School called “Quick & Eazy DJ’s”? Well, it’s dedicated to cultivating the next league of amazing DJ’s. Register and learn more at Quickandeazydjs.com. In Maryland, the Fish Market, located in Clinton, MD is now on the market for sale. The asking price is quite hefty, millions of dollars hefty! Aye ladies of the area, D.C. was voted No. 1 in the Top 10 Cities with the Most Attractive Black Women.

Tuesday, Amazon announced they are working on creating affordable homes near four public transit sites. Lastly, Under Armour and Morgan State University join forces to create an iconic movement called, The Makers. Their message is to “be seen, be heard, be celebrated, just BE”.
