Where we’re going, we don’t need roads. Delorean88 is not your average vintage store. Inspired by a shopping trip in search of vintage clothing in DC, it is the first place to offer almost exclusively “true vintage”. True vintage is a term that refers to items that are between 20 and 50 years old. Many “vintage” stores exist in the city but they mostly carry new recreations of vintage classics. 

Once the store was conceptualized, the owners reached out to current store manager Mike to build a team and take their vision forward. Mike had been working at DC streetwear boutique Commonwealth for a few years already and was more than ready to take on the challenge. He brings a wealth of knowledge of sports memorabilia, vintage jerseys, and sports gear. He was accompanied by two other vintage connoisseurs that he knew from the scene who both had different perspectives and expertise in regards to vintage clothing from anime to classic films and rare sneakers. 

Delorean88 aims to be a community space, “Everyone is welcome, If you have an idea to use the space, the answer will more than likely be yes” says Mike. They want to give back as much as they receive to the community.
