Washington, D.C., is gearing up for one of its most anticipated cultural events of the year as Soul Mega’s MEGAFEST 2025 returns on Saturday, September 6. Taking over Anthem Row with the iconic Carnegie Library as its backdrop, the festival is a community block party on a grand scale, blending music, food, and craft beverages with the creative energy that defines the city.

This year’s festival will bring together some of the hottest DJs, curated food vendors, and a wide range of beverage brands, including beer, cider, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options. Guests 21 and older can RSVP for free entry, though space is limited, or purchase a Tasting Ticket for unlimited pours, a commemorative cup, and exclusive access to featured brands. Beverage partners include Soul Mega, Liquid Intrusion, Black Brew Movement, Allagash, DC Brau, Port City, Lost Generation, Dope Cider, Blue Jacket, and Paradise Cove. At the same time, the soundtrack will be provided by an eclectic lineup featuring Konshince, Darling Cool, Rawle Night Long, Filet Mignon, Spinse, Nez, Mathias, Jahsonic, Bridget, and more.

More than just a festival, MEGAFEST is part of a broader cultural movement. With support from the DowntownDC BID and DMPED, the event doubles as a downtown activation, bringing new energy and foot traffic to surrounding businesses while spotlighting local creators and talent. For young Washingtonians who thrive on the city’s creative pulse, the experience offers a chance to connect, celebrate, and embrace DC’s diverse culture.

At the heart of it all is Soul Mega, a Black-owned craft beer brand with a story rooted in resilience and innovation. CEO and co-founder Elliott Johnson launched Soul Mega in 2019 while working as a NASA Budget Officer, managing a multimillion-dollar budget by day and experimenting with homebrews at night. What began as a personal creative outlet has since evolved into an award-winning craft beer company known for prioritizing quality, inclusivity, and cultural connection. Johnson, a Howard University and Wharton graduate, has shaped the brand into a reflection of DC itself—forward-looking, community-centered, and unapologetically authentic.

Since its launch, Soul Mega has become a staple at local markets, festivals, and grocery stores while gaining national recognition. The brand also invests back into the community by commissioning local artists to design beer can artwork and by keeping its selection intentionally focused, releasing just two year-round beers alongside seasonal offerings. Johnson’s vision reflects the idea that beer is more than a drink; it’s part of the culture that brings people together at cookouts, on campuses, and in neighborhoods across the District.

With its blend of live music, craft beverages, and the energy of DC’s streets, MEGAFEST 2025 is shaping up to be a highlight of the city’s fall calendar. Anyone looking for an unforgettable way to experience Washington, DC’s culture in full celebration mode, September 6 at Anthem Row promises to deliver.
