D.C. Pride in Every Step: The Museum DC and Under Armour Unveil New Collaboration

Staff

On Sunday, August 25, D.C.’s beloved streetwear brand, The Museum, is set to launch its latest collaboration with Under Armour, featuring a limited-edition collection of UA Apparition sneakers. This partnership marks the third time these two brands have joined forces, with the new collection paying homage to the vibrant natural beauty of Washington, D.C.

Dubbed the “Give ‘Em Their Flowers” campaign, the collection introduces three distinct colorways inspired by iconic D.C. landmarks and events. The first sneaker draws inspiration from the Okame Cherry Tree, showcasing a soft pink palette and intricate floral designs that capture the tree’s symbolic essence of renewal and hope. The second colorway celebrates the National Cherry Blossom Festival, reflecting the festive atmosphere with shades of pink and white, symbolizing friendship and the fleeting beauty of life.

The final sneaker in the collection takes cues from the United States Botanic Garden. It features lush greens and vibrant floral motifs that mirror the garden’s diverse plant life. This colorway emphasizes themes of growth, harmony, and the natural beauty that D.C. is known for.

LeGreg Harrison and Muhammad Hill, co-founders of The Museum, have emphasized the importance of this collaboration in connecting with the community and celebrating D.C.’s rich cultural heritage. The collection not only highlights the beauty of the city’s landmarks but also serves as a tribute to the local community and a close friend of the brand who passed away last year.

These exclusive sneakers will be available in limited quantities at The Museum locations starting this Sunday, August 25. Don’t miss the chance to grab a piece of D.C. culture with this unique collection.
