Rihanna in D.C. & Rico Nasty’ doesn’t twerk!

Happy Friday beautiful people of the DMV! We regret to inform you, Andre Leon Talley, the driving force behind Vogue Magazine and the fashion world, a D.C. native, has passed away this week. He will always be remembered for his tremendous efforts in fashion and philanthropy.

Next, let’s talk about our beloved Metro. Due to COVID-19 and the increase of exposure, Metrobus will be running on Saturday schedules during the week, until further notice.

So, inquiring minds would like to know, what is DMV’s own Goldlink is up to? The emcee recently cleared his Instagram. New music on the way, perhaps?

Great news for my queens of D.C. Pads and tampons will now be free for students in D.C. schools, private and public. Sadly, one in five girls in the U.S. has missed school due to the lack of product access.

Congratulations to DMV’s own recording artist, Top Dolla Sweizy. His clothing brand, SWEIZY, will be coming to Shoe City stores all around the DMV. Yes, that includes you Baltimore. Also, big shoutout to The Museum on their new clothing collaboration with Foot Locker.

While on the congratulations train, let’s celebrate @THFCTRY on its newest collaboration with &Pizza. If you’re lucky enough to come to the DMV, please try &Pizza. We promise you won’t be sorry.

Rico Nasty declares her stance on twerking at her concerts. She is not a fan so don’t ask. DMV’s own Cordae links with H.E.R and Lil Durk. Check out the video on his Instagram.

In, what were you thinking news, rapper Vic Mensa was arrested at Dulles Airport after getting caught with illegal mushrooms. We all know you don’t play with VA. C’mon moe!

Great news D.C., Rihanna’s new Savage X Fenty store will be setting up shop here with one of their primary locations. So, ladies and gents do you think we’ll see Rihanna in D.C. more!

Lastly, calling all DMV artists, the DMV League of Artists is looking for you to participate in their Black History Month exhibit being held from Feb 1 – March 1 at their new Chinatown Headquarters. Visit dmvleagueofartists.com now to apply!

Well, there you have it, ladies & gentlemen. This sums up What’s Going On D.C. Follow me @TheMediaPrince on everything and follow the hashtag #WGODC.
