Whats going on DC

Can we agree that Taraji P. Henson is the Queen of DC?

Happy Friday DMV, let’s dive straight into it. First up, congratulations yet again to Southeast’s own Taraji P Henson. Her TPH By Taraji haircare brand is now in Walmart. First, it was Target and now she’s added Walmart. This is an epic look for our area. We love seeing our own people flourish. She also just let the world know she will now be pursuing music and exploring herself as a recording artist. You know it’s hard out here for a PIMP mam.

Congratulations to DMV’s own Alex Vaughn who just signed with LVRN. Yes, this is the same label as Summer Walker. Also, did you know Wale partnered up with Samsung to take us into his world? No? Ok, so I’m not alone. I didn’t know either. Well, let’s all take a look now on BridgeTV.

Hyattsville, MD welcomes its first mobile shower program for homeless and others in need. Go check it out at 6201 Belcrest Rd.

I know it’s almost homecoming season, but unfortunately, the alumni of Howard University will not be able to attend. The HU campus is closed to alumni due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Do you love carryout and need employment? Well, the Washington City Paper is now hiring a carry-out food critic. Check out their social media for more information.

Are you vaccinated yet? Take a look at the stats for the DMV area.

DMV’s own rapper, Logic, is now an author. Welcome to the world, sir. It’s beautiful here. Take a look at his audible interview now on BridgeTV.

I want to congratulate all the people who made the #DMV35Under35 list presented by Made In the DMV, Just 1 PR The Washington Informer Bridge, and myself (The Media Prince). Check out the full list on The Bridge social media.

Lastly, I want to congratulate my fellow kings of DMV Media. Big Mouf Media, The Washington Informer Bridge, The DMV Daily, MoBoomBox, Music On The Dot, The Posh Standard, and Jukebox DC have come together to show unity in the DMV’s Media World. The mission is to create an infrastructure for our people. Check out the various articles in The Washington Informer, BlogNow Events, Made in the DMV, and Nunar Magazine. Join us tonight for an exclusive soiree and meet all the brand owners.
