As a native Washingtonian, I just gotta say DMV, we’re doing the damn thing. I have a burst of emotions when it comes to our greatness, so as your reading, let me not keep you waiting!

First up, the most epic thing happened ever! Celebrated actress Glenn Close let the world know she knows her D.C. history at this year’s Oscars. She even got out of her chair and did Da Butt, now you know that’s a DMV staple. Check it out now on BridgeTV. We have to give a huge shoutout to the actor and DMV’s own Darrell Britt-Gibson who made sure Ms. Close was all queued up with her DMV information.

Hey DMV! Do you guys remember the epic hit by Wale entitled “Bad”? No, not the Rihanna version, but the original. Well, the lovely young singer, Tiara Thomas, also nabbed an Oscar and was beyond thankful to the DMV audience who embraced her first in the music industry.

In sports, the Washington Wizards beat the Golden State Warriors on “Fan’s Opening Night” for a sixth straight win. Now that’s what I’m talking about! The Wizards have been enjoying a winning streak lately and it’s about time.

In, Yes the Hell I Would news! DMV, would you like your chance to video chat with recording artist Mya? Yes, “take me there I wanna go there”…well, you have until May 5th to do so. Head over to her Instagram profile now for all the details. It just might be you the pick. There are so many viral things happening in the country, but it’s beautiful when it’s in our own backyard. Three young men took to the streets on Constitution Avenue to make some joy. Watch it now on BridgeTV.

As you see, outside is opening up. Well, D.C. bars and music venues are now considering requiring vaccinations so they can re-open. How are you feeling about this D.C.? We want to hear from you!

In other news, the House of Representatives has passed a bill to admit Washington, D.C. to be the 51st state. We are still waiting on the Senate, but it is looking like the flag may have to be re-done. Also, D.C.’s own Dave Chappelle has a new podcast entitled “The Midnight Miracle”. The trailer looks like it’s going to be very interesting, you can catch that now on BridgeTV.
