The ‘Bloom City’ Fashion Show, presented by Fever Class, was a vibrant spectacle of eccentric outfits and networking among creatives from all fields, hosted at the Toolbox Art Studio on Saturday, June 22nd. With a mission to redefine the narrative of the DC metropolitan area from a predominantly white-collar society to an innovative and colorful hub, Fever Class brought together a community of fashion enthusiasts in a truly memorable event.
“Fever Class is a hub for community and creativity, and we’re taking the DMV by storm,” stated Claire Ozah, P/R Marketing Manager of Fever Class.

Before the festivities began, the behind-the-scenes buzzed with activity. Suitcases overflowed with designer clothes, models’ hair was intricately braided, and jewelry was scattered about as stylists, designers, hairdressers, and models worked tirelessly to perfect their looks and walks before showtime. The atmosphere was one of controlled chaos, reflecting the dedication and passion of everyone involved.
As the venue filled, fashion influencers, photographers, and local fashion fans eagerly took seats. DJ Juiceee kept the energy high between intermissions, sparking impromptu group dance sessions. Attendees also enjoyed a bar featuring complimentary champagne, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Claire Ozah expressed her satisfaction with the event’s success, highlighting the extensive planning and teamwork that went into making it possible. “We’ve been planning this since October. There were lots of sleepless nights, meetings, and emails between a team of over 100 volunteers,” said Ozah.

Themed ‘Bloom City,’ the show centered around floral and earthy elements intertwined with industrial motifs, symbolizing creativity that flourishes even in the darkest places. Featured brands included The Good Shepherd, Go Realer, Ivory Stone, RMA Apparel, Space Kitty, and Hoodlvm.
Zacharina Dainkeh, Creative Director and Producer of Fever Class, who has experience with prestigious events like New York Fashion Week, admitted that the journey was overwhelming but ultimately rewarding. “My favorite part of this process is seeing my vision come to life,” she said.
Towards the show’s end, audience members were invited to walk the runway if they believed their outfit was the best in the house. The invitation was met with enthusiasm as numerous volunteers strutted down the runway to the audience’s cheers.
For anyone in the creative space, Fever Class promises more exciting events in the future. “We want to continue this every year, so anyone who wants to contribute, come on!” exclaimed Dainkeh.
The ‘Bloom City’ Fashion Show was not just an event but a testament to the vibrant and innovative spirit thriving in the DC metropolitan area, thanks to the creative force of Fever Class.
