This February, Shanklin Hall Social Club, located at 2325 18th St. NW, Washington, D.C., is hosting its inaugural Black History Month celebration, dedicating each week to a different black-owned spirit. The event series, designed to honor and highlight the rich contributions of the Black spirits community, will feature inspiring stories and exclusive cocktails.

Starting from 7 pm to 9 pm every Friday in February, and a special event on Sunday, February 25th, Shanklin Hall will partner with six exceptional black-owned spirits brands. These include Ten to One Rum, Bayab Gin, Sorel Liquer, Blackleaf Organic Vodka, SoulMega, and Equiano Rum. Each event will offer guests a unique opportunity to delve into the inspiring narratives behind these brands and enjoy cocktails crafted exclusively from these high-quality spirits.
The celebration kicks off on Friday, February 2nd, with Ten to One Rum and continues each Friday with a new spirit in the spotlight. The event series culminates on Friday, March 1, with Equiano Rum. Additionally, a special event featuring SoulMega will take place on Sunday, February 25th.
