ADOBO, the DMV’s premier multicultural event series, is hitting the road for the first time, bringing its electrifying fusion of dance and culture to six major U.S. cities. Known for uniting the diverse communities of Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Africa, ADOBO has become a cultural force in the D.C. area, blending beats from across the globe with the region’s vibrant energy.
Founded in 2018 by Pedro Night, Walter Alvarado, and Marcus Dowling, ADOBO started as a local celebration of the DMV’s rich cultural landscape. Now, it’s set to showcase that spirit on a national stage, with stops in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Baltimore, and Chicago.
Pedro Night, a former DMV 35 Under 35, veteran DJ, and driving force behind ADOBO explains, “We want to show the country the diversity and energy of the DMV—a vibe you won’t find anywhere else. We’re bringing a taste of our hyper-diverse community to each city, spotlighting the unique cultural mix that makes the DMV special.”
The tour kicks off in D.C. on August 17 at The Bullpen, featuring a lineup of top local and touring DJs, including DJ Moma, Four Color Zack, and Pedro Night himself. Each city will offer a unique experience, blending local flavors with ADOBO’s signature high-energy party atmosphere.
ADOBO’s events are a melting pot of music genres, from Latin beats to Afro rhythms, Hip-Hop, Go-Go, and more. They cater to Gen Z and millennial crowds who thrive on cultural exploration and individuality. The tour promises an unforgettable experience, with a mix of live music, dance, drinks, and, in some locations, food and extra entertainment.
