Whats going on DC

Juneteenth Weekend We’re Outside at Moechella!

Can you believe it? It’s our 20th episode! First up, Maryland, you are free! Governor Hogan just lifted the Maryland State of Emergency for COVID-19. Meaning, like D.C., you are free to move how you want again.

Congratulations go to D.C.’s own Jeffrey L Tribble Jr, former CEO of the Wammies. He was just announced as the new CEO of Levine Music

The next king making waves is the DMV’s own comedian Ayye Pap, or shall we say actor Stamaur Mitchell. He is currently on set with Michael Ealy and B.J. Britt. It looks like they’re filming something special that we cannot wait to see.

DMV’s hip-hop star, IDK, gets featured in Vogue Magazine. Now, that’s a huge deal. From NBC’s The Voice to in the studio with recording artist Kodak Black, DMV’s own Tamara Jade is on the move. She recently provided an epic vocal on the hook of Kodak Black’s new track “Easter in Miami”. Take a peek now on BridgeTV.

Moechella and the Bridge present the Unity Fest this weekend on Jun 20th featuring Junkyard Band, TOB, E.U. with Sugar Bear and more. For more details head over to our Instagram.

Our beloved Mayor Muriel Bowser joined POTUS this week to invite visitors from around the country to come to D.C. for the 4th of July celebrations. D.C. is definitely back in action.

But, maybe too much action. This past weekend Nellie’s, a bar on U Street, had a horrible viral incident that has resulted in it being closed for a week. They’ve announced an internal investigation and said they will reestablish their policies. The dragging of our Queen is something that must be rectified.

On another note, Instagram meme celebrity RespectfullyJustin has a question about our lives here in D.C. Do we really take the turn up to another level? Take a look now and laugh a bit on wibridgedc.com.

Wale is back with a new single. Check it out and let us here your thoughts! Lastly, we can’t get enough of our Southeast queen Taraji P. Henson. She was just announced as the host of the 2021 BET Awards held next weekend.

Well there you have it, Ladies & Gentlemen. This sums up What’s Going On D.C. Follow me @TheMediaPrince on everything and follow the hashtag #WGODC.
