It’s Broccoli City Time!

Party people in the building ya know what time it is. It’s time for all things DMV.

Let’s start in politics. Mayor Bowser lets it be known that Washington, D.C. is a pro-choice city after the new laws passed this week. Take a look now on BridgeTV. While you’re there check out Trayon White’s Mayoral campaign video.

In general news, DC Circulator workers are on strike! That’s right, the bus drivers announced a strike until their contract is updated and union workers stop facing threats. So, riders are left to find transportation elsewhere.

Beautiful programming is happening in Baltimore, and we are here for the growth. Take a look now on BridgeTV. Are yall fond of the zoo? Well, a wild fox has killed 25 flamingos and a duck at the National Zoo. The fox has been on the loose and has taken out some of the zoo’s main attractions. Also, while covid deaths and hospital rates are decreasing, positive covid cases have risen. Be careful out there folks.

In Sports, the Washington Capitals won round one in the playoffs against the Florida Panthers. Also, Trai Turner just signed to the Washington Commanders.

Let’s move on to entertainment. Rico Nasty has a birthday message for the DMV. Wale says he may have found the perfect movie script, but he has to cut his hair. What do y’all think DMV?

The cover for Fat Trels mixtape Gleesh was named one of the most controversial covers according to XXL, do ya agree?

Taraji P. Henson’s, The Boris L Henson Foundation, are queuing up for their symposium and Joy Awards coming June 4th. Join now if you’re interested.

Let’s end it off with what’s happening around town. As mentioned earlier, Rico Nasty’s birthday is this weekend. Party with her at Rosebar on Saturday and then on Sunday with Pusha T and Marlon White. Basically, Rosebar is the move all weekend long.

The DC Funk Parade is also this weekend on the U Street Corridor, with CCB and more! This is Broccoli City weekend with Broccoli Con today, a 5K run tomorrow and the festival is both Saturday & Sunday. Come check out Summer Walker, Wale, Rico Nasty, Wizkid, and more!
