Welcome my beautiful people of DC, MD, VA, Bmore, 757, Waldorf, and all the lands in-between. First up, congratulations to our DMV ladies Taraji P. Henson and Tracie Jade. That’s right, their Facebook Watch talk show “Peace of Mind with Taraji” has been renewed for the second season. From the sounds of it, an Emmy Award could be in their future.
Now, the crate challenge has taken the world by storm, especially in our area. But, nothing tops seeing horses in the LAX Wine & Spirits parking lot in Southeast. Take a look a both now on BridgeTV.
As Covid-19 evolves into many variations, many of the clubs, restaurants and bars in the area are implementing stricter protocols. Take a look at the new vaccination requirements for I.M.P venues, including the beloved Anthem. Speaking of anthems, Southeast’s own Balla links with Snoop Dogg and Moneybagg yo and it has us wondering, what magic is coming? We told you that Snoop loves the DMV.
Baltimore’s own Tate Kobang has been making major moves in the music industry. He was recently featured in a new Spotify Billboard, on a hit show on BET, and releasing new music! But, did you know he was behind the Nicki Minaj track “Fractions”? The song was just named one of the best songs of 2021 by Complex Magazine. Now that’s epic!
In fashion news, June Sanders is back with another New Balance drop coming September 3rd and it looks fire! Now, courtesy of DMV’s own The Neighborhood Talk, all my glizzy (hot dog) eaters might be in shock. A University of Michigan study shows that eating just one hot dog can take 36 minutes off of your life. This study was done to observe the negative effects of beef hot dogs on the body.
Take a look at the new logo for the Washington Football Team’s, Entertainment Team. Also, check out the new movie on Netflix, “Really Love” starring Kofi Siriboe. The film takes place in D.C. so you may see some familiar faces.
Well, there you have it, ladies & gentlemen. This sums up What’s Going On D.C.? Follow me @TheMediaPrince on everything and follow the hashtag #WGODC.
