BRIDGE Earth Day Creative Salon Sparks Vital Conversations and Inspires Change: Recap Video

The Washington Informer BRIDGE hosted its highly anticipated Earth Day Creative Salon, “People vs. Plastics,” on Thursday, April 25, at Hill Prince on the H Street corridor. The event, which aimed to raise awareness about the urgent need to combat plastic pollution, was a resounding success, attracting a diverse crowd of environmentally conscious millennials and notable guests.

The salon featured an insightful panel discussion moderated by Christopher Bradshaw, Executive Director of Dreaming Out Loud Inc. Panelists Alexis Dickerson (Potomac Conservancy), Michele Roberts ( Environmental Justice Health Alliance), and Richard Bird (Home Court DC & DMV) shared their expertise and experiences in tackling plastic waste, inspiring attendees to take actionable steps in their own lives and communities.

Guests enjoyed delectable plant-based hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chekesha Rashad from Eatopian Eats, while world-renowned DJ Underdog provided live music, creating an inviting ambiance for networking and discussion. Black-owned Ten To One Rum served signature cocktails, further enhancing the evening’s enjoyment.
