Blockchain-based art title firm, Fairchain, and Jaé Joseph host art luminaries for Freize Kick-Off Party. Moet Hennessy powered the event.
On the night preceding the Frieze Art Fair’s VIP preview, art luminaries gathered in the Edition Hotel for an exclusive Fairchain kick-off party. Hosted by cultural entrepreneur Jaé Joseph and Fairchain co-founder Charlie Jarvis, the event featured some of our most significant creative professionals in an intimate setting. Joseph’s ties to the DMV stem from managing his family’s audio-visual collection, StoryCorps Griot Initiative, which sits at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.
Distinguished guests were ushered into Edition’s sexy atmosphere, greeted by exquisite cocktails from Moet Hennessey. The event featured attendees from across the creative industry. Amongst those sighted were curator Mashonda TiFrere, architect and designer Kulapat Yantrasast, and actress Alfre Woodard. Usual suspects in an art fair setting were also in attendance. Host Joseph’s former collaborator, artist Mickalene Thomas, and Fair darling Ferrari Sheppard were present.
Additionally, The Washington Informer Bridge noted the presence of high-profile gallerists Hannah Traore, Olivia Smith, and Michael Nevin. However, the guests who stole the spotlight were Joseph’s former Donda collaborator Bianca Censori and her husband, Ye (formerly known as Kanye West).
Fairchain hosted the happy hour event to celebrate the Frieze Art Fair’s opening and communicate about its brand. While hosting a Fifteen Percent Pledge with Artsy, this was an excellent time for Fairchain to make a splash. Their platform serves as a community-accountable tool that delivers title management, authentication, and transaction platform in service of a more equitable, sustainable, and secure art market.
