“Bright Idea Tour”: Atticus Torre’s Artistic Journey Lands at SOMEWHERE® Union Market

Brooklyn-based artist Atticus Torre is making waves on the East Coast and recently made a pit stop in the nation’s capital for a two-day mission he calls the “Outreach Experience.” Torre gained traction for his specialization in illustration and elaborate expressive airbrush designs, which soon caught the eye of major brands and led to exciting collaborations with Stussy, Awake, and Carhartt. Inspired by his early passion for graffiti and iconic caricatures, his artistry uniquely blends aesthetic designs with an array of human emotions. While building his globally known clothing brand, he hopes to continue creating a storyline and world from his own iconic character.

Atticus Torre‘s “Bright Idea Tour” landed at SOMEWHERE® sneaker store in the Union Market alley space on July 16th and 17th. During his stop, attendees got a chance to witness Atticus’s creative process up close as he showcased his machine for custom designs. In an interview, Torre expressed the importance of the tour as a way to directly engage and connect with his audience and buyers, stating, “I want to meet the people I’m painting for… this is what I should be doing.” He gave visitors the option to bring their own clothes for customization or take advantage of a special 20% discount on all SOMEWHERE® branded apparel in-store. Additionally, Atticus offered copies of his latest book, “Bright Idea,” a must-have for any fan of his work. D.C. is honored by the unique opportunity to meet the artist along his nationwide tour, and we look forward to seeing where he’ll land next!
